My name is Charlotte, some of you may know me better as Muttley and Martha dog walking services. I have recently merged my dog training and walking businesses together to create The Mindful Canine Coach.

Between 2015-2017 we cared for dogs as a home boarder alongside my own Boxer Ruby. We decided to close the doors when welcoming our second Boxer puppy (Martha). When we closed the doors on home boarding, I realised I still craved centering my work around dogs. During a dog walk I had that eureka moment to set up a dog walking business, that's when Muttley & Martha pet services was born, May 2018.​

Two years into my successful dog walking business, the pandemic hit. During my time in lockdown ​I began posting some fun training videos across my social media platforms which I was surprised to learn how popular they were. I then realised more needed to be done to help owners in more ways than just walking a limited number of dogs. In 2021 i began studying multiple courses to learn about our canine companions in depth.

 

I soon noticed an increase in people setting up dog walking businesses with little to no experience. I mean, it's the most incredible and rewarding job so who wouldn't want to go from an office to being outdoors with dogs all day, every day! However, it's a job that requires a lot of patience, responsibility and understanding canine communication. Which is why I only offer structured walk & train services.

I have worked with many breeds, big & small with a variety of temperaments. I have experience with dogs from puppy development, obedience to reactivity.

In 2024, I plan to help as many dogs as possible by teaching owners how to

communicate and teach dogs how to unlock a happier and healthy way of being.
